Dermio Care®️ Plus represents a new-generation professional technology that combines Dermionology®️ — derived from dermis (skin) and ion (electrically charged particle) — with Coloured Light Treatment.

The technology is based on the interaction between positive and negative electrical charges and their implications for biological processes in the body. The system increases the concentration of negative ions in the oxygen of the surrounding air and directs the plasma enriched with negative ions towards the treatment area through the specially designed Top Head.

DERMIONOLOGY®️ — PLASMA AND NEGATIVE IONS

The human body is characterised by metabolic processes involving the exchange of positive and negative electrical charges. Dermionology®️ works according to this principle by creating an environment enriched with negative ions.

The superficially active plasma can interact with the skin, while the negative ions can act at the level of the epidermis and underlying subcutaneous tissues.

At the epidermal level, the action of negative ions is associated with the stimulation of cell division and skin renewal processes. At the level of the interstitium, it is described as supporting acid neutralisation and processes related to collagen synthesis.

The high concentration of negative ions within the treatment environment also contributes to the distinctive sensory experience of the treatment, associated with relaxation, balance and well-being.

ACTION AT DIFFERENT SKIN LEVELS

Epidermis
Interaction with the skin surface and support for skin renewal and cell division processes.

Subcutaneous tissue
Plasma enriched with negative ions can reach and interact with tissues beneath the skin surface.

Interstitium
Negative ions are associated with acid neutralisation and support for processes involved in collagen synthesis.

This multi-level action makes Dermionology®️ particularly interesting for protocols designed for stressed, impure, problematic or compromised skin, including skin concerns such as impurities, psoriasis, rosacea and scars.

SYSTEMIC EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH IONISATION

The Dermionology®️ approach also considers the ionised environment an integral part of the treatment experience. Exposure to a high concentration of negative ions is associated with positive effects on general well-being, relaxation and vitality.

Ionisation is also associated with physiological parameters such as:
• circulation and blood quality;
• cardiac activity;
• blood pressure;
• respiration;
• vascular system;
• metabolism and vitality;
• bones and musculature.

The objective is therefore a holistic approach, integrating the local action on the skin with a treatment environment designed to promote an overall sense of balance and well-being.

COLOURED LIGHT TREATMENT

The second technology integrated into Dermio Care®️ Plus is Coloured Light Therapy, based on the different biological responses of the body and the interaction between light, tissues and the autonomic nervous system.

Different wavelengths penetrate the tissues to different depths and can be selected according to the desired treatment objective.

BLUE LIGHT
Blue light is characterised by antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used in protocols for skin characterised by impurities and problematic conditions, including acne, rosacea, couperose, psoriasis and neurodermatitis.

GREEN LIGHT
Green light is associated with a revitalising and detoxifying action. Green-light protocols are also associated with supporting metabolic processes, muscle function and bone-building processes, as well as with recharging and supporting the body's vitality.

RED LIGHT
Red light is used in protocols focused on skin regeneration and renewal. It is associated with collagen synthesis and skin repair processes, making it particularly suitable for protocols aimed at improving the appearance of scars. Red light is also associated with a soothing and relaxing effect on the tissues and support for the body's natural immune functions.
